TECHNICAL SUPPORT

We provide unlimited technical support for the program to registered
users who call us at 619/272-5700. (The 800 line is for orders only.)
If your question concerns saving a word processor file as an ASCII file,
you should refer to page 72 of our user's guide. If you still need more
information, please check your word processor manual or call the publisher
of the word processing package.

If you happen to receive defective diskettes, there is no need to return
the entire package to us. Simply call us with your serial number and
we will send new disks to you. (You can identify a bad disk with a
DOS error message such as "Error reading drive A, Abort, Retry, Ignore?"
or "Bad Sector on drive A". A message such as "Bad command or file
name" does NOT indicate a bad disk. For more information see Common
Questions on pages 68-70.)

Word Processor Specifics

WORDSTAR 3.3 and previous

If you are running an older version of Wordstar with ITALTOOL, use
the /W command when invoking the program (ITALTOOL/W). This will
cause the program to use the <DEL> key, instead of <BackSpace>, to
delete the character immediately before the cursor.

For other word processor specific information, see page 72 of the
User's Guide.

Changes not in the manual

The option FORCE ARTICLES was added to the options menu. By turning
Force Articles ON, any noun that is not preceded by an article is
translated with a definite article. "I play guitar" will be translated
the same as "I play the guitar." Since this is very common in Italian,
you may want to turn it ON. Within a document, use @ARTicles to turn
Force Articles ON, and @NOARTicles to turn it off.

To delete a file, view the list of files by choosing "E - Edit File "
from the main menu and answering "*.ENG". Hightlight the file you
wish to delete and press <control>D. The program will prompt you
before deleting the file.

Printing a file from the text editor has change slightly to accomodate
printing to LPT2.

Additional Information

The maximum size of a file that can be edited using the Text Editor
is 64K. Loading files bigger than 64K will generate an error message.

The intermediate file (described on page 26) now has the extension IIN.
This was changed to accomdate users who have more than one Language
Assistant.

If you experience strange colors or characters when running ITALTOOL with
WordPerfect, you will need to reset the WordPerfect default display to
Normal. From within WordPerfect, press F1 (Setup), D (Display), F
(Fonts/Colors), and finally N (Normal).
