Biology is one of the fundamental sciences. Almost every student must get
through a general biology course in either high school or college. |E^1Biology 101^N
can help most students because its quizzes review the major areas emphasized in
beginning courses. Those of you with an interest in science will find the
program to be a challenging test of your knowledge, even if your student days
are long past.

   |E^1Biology 101^N has five levels. The first level, SYSTEMS, deals with major
organ and system functions; the next level, PLANTS, contains questions about
plant groupings. The third section, ANIMALS, asks you to place various animals
in the correct phylum and class.

The fourth section, PIONEERS, is a quiz on the history of biology that asks
the you to match scientists with their contributions. The last section,
ECOLOGY, stresses a wide range of questions about the environment and requires
knowledge of basic chemistry and other sciences as well as biology.

If you score low at first, don't despair: some levels are simply more
difficult than others; some might stress a facet of the science your
instructors never covered. Besides, high scores aren't the object of a program
like |E^1Biology 101^N. Instead, we hope to stimulate your interest in the world
around us.
