^C^1NATIONS AND CAPITALS

NATIONS AND CAPITALS is one of the toughest quiz programs we've seen. After
playing it, our resident Trivial Pursuit ace (the one who specializes in "blue"
geography questions) was last heard muttering something unprintable about
programs that "expect you to know that 'Ouagadougou' is the capital of Upper
Volta!"

When we played, we found out what he was talking about. NATIONS AND CAPITALS
had the rest of us wondering if we had slept through every world geography class
we had ever taken. (We had.)

The reason that NATIONS AND CAPITALS is so challenging is simple: at last
count, there were well over 160 nations in the world, each with its own capital
city. Matching a list of countries with their capitals, which is what this
program asks you do, can be humbling.

But it is fun -- if you enjoy a challenge. Just don't worry if you get a low
score -- not many people know that the capital city of Madagascar is
Antananarivo or that Paramaribo is the capital of Surinam.

On the other hand, if you find that you have trouble with countries like
Canada (Ottawa), the U.S.S.R. (Moscow), or West Germany (Bonn), you might need
to brush up on your world geography.

Good luck playing NATIONS AND CAPITALS. You'll need it!
